PLANNING TO SNOWSHOE THIS WINTER?
Snowshoeing has become more popular lately, and as such we have developed a special trail for snowshoers. This will promote the safety of snowshoers as well as skiers and boarders. Snowshoers with a valid badge or lift pass are welcome to use the new Snowshoeing Trail.

ENJOYING THE BAR
This is a family club and we do allow children in the bar. Please remember that all minors in the bar must be escorted by an adult (19 and over). Please also note that only the upper level of the Club is licensed. Feel free to purchase a drink in the bar and take it to any of the upper floor rooms, including the deck. Until we complete Phase II, no alcohol is allowed on the main floor. Thank you so much for your consideration.

Please remember to have your badge visible at all times whether on the hill or in the Clubhouse.  We will be checking passes regularly throughout the balance of the season so please remind all family members and guests about this important Club policy.

MANSFIELD CODE
 ALPINE RESPONSIBILITY CODE

There are elements of risk that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce.  Regardless of how you decide to use the slopes, always show courtesy to others.  Please adhere to the code listed below and share with others the responsibility for a safe outdoor experience.

1. Always stay in control.  You must be able to stop, or avoid other people or objects.
2. People ahead of you have the right-of-way.  It is your responsibility to avoid them.
3. Do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.
4. Before starting downhill or merging onto a trail, look uphill and yield to others.
5. If you are involved in or witness a collision or accident, you must remain at the scene and identify yourself to Ski Patrol.
6. Always use proper devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
7. Observe and obey all posted signs and warnings.
8. Keep off closed trails and closed areas.
9. You must not use lifts or terrain if your ability is impaired through use of alcohol or drugs.
10.You must have sufficient physical dexterity, ability and knowledge to safely load, ride and unload lifts.  If in doubt, ask the lift attendant.

Along with the ten points of the alpine responsibility code, Mansfield Ski Club has also adopted the following seven points.

11.   Parents and Guardians are responsible for their children’s activities on ski area property.
12.   Do not allow your children to play on the property after hours.
13.   Avoid skiing or snowboarding near snowmaking guns.  Do not ski or snowboard over snowmaking hoses.
14.   Avoid skiing through ski school classes. The same goes for race courses, unless you are a participant.
15.    Please be prepared to escort small children on the lift, when requested by an Instructor or Coach.
16.    Snowshoers must remain on the designated snowshoe trail and must be in possession of a member badge or lift ticket.
17.    Pets are not permitted in any buildings and dogs may not be taken onto any areas where skier traffic is present.  This includes the snowshoe trail.
