Infants on Lifts
Infants are not permitted to be carried on any lift in any fashion. This includes being held by the parent or carried in a sling or a backpack. All children must have their own skis, and must occupy their own seat, or position, while riding on a lift.
Go slow
It’s been a few months since you may have last skied or snowboarded. While it may seem as easy as “riding a bike”, many accidents happen in the first few days of the new season because of people going too fast and assuming that they still have the balance awareness from last season. Take your time, get a few runs in, and slowly “dial up the volume” as your reflexes get back into tune.
Fireman’s Net
You will notice some bright red circular objects at the bottom of the chairlifts. They have a sign on them to remind all to lower their safety bar. Their true intention is to act as a “fireman’s net” should a person fail to load onto the chair properly and are in danger of falling. While we truly hope to never need them, it is comforting to all to know that they are there, ready if needed.
